WHATWH a game and what a night.nig
I can’t really compare what I w went through on Wednesday nig night to anything I’ve exp experienced before.
It’s a feeling that is certainly har hard to describe and I just feel for fortunate to have been a part of i it all.
You never really pick a sc score like that before the start o of a game, but we gave o ourselves every chance by th the way we prepared the we week leading in.
You could just tell from the ver very start the boys were det determined to get the job done and it was great to get that mo momentum, and at half- time we talked about just con continuing with the same job.
Sometimes that’s when thi things can drop off a bit, but tha that’s when it picked up aga again and eve everything we did just see seemed to wo work.
There was a bit of talk about the boys bei being too old during the leadup up, and of the Queensland dyn dynasty coming to an end, but the boys well and truly showed the they are not past it.
They played great football and I certainly hope to keep bei being a part of it, and after exp experiencing a game like that it m makes you want it more.
Scoring a try also added to the experience and it’s one I suppose I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
It was lucky we had a fair bit of ball and I just stayed inside Aidan Guerra, and then I got over the line.
I also took a moment after one of our tries just to have a moment to myself and soak in the atmosphere and the roar of the crowd.
One of the other highlights was being able to send Justin Hodges out as a winner, and it was great to see him
kick that conversion at the end. I got to experience being part of a whole Origin series and it’s been a real privilege to play alongside those boys.
The excitement is still there and I’m sure all my Cowboys teammates will enjoy the next few days off during our bye, but then it’s back to business.
My focus will go back into the Cowboys and making sure we finish the season strongly. We’ve put ourselves in a good position and I can’t wait to get back out there and do my best for the club.
