Teachers to test Brethren

-

BROTHERS face one of the biggest tests of their character this afternoon as they try to get back to winning ways against Teachers in the Townsville and District Rugby Union.

The Brethren were upstaged 19- 7 by an improving North Ward Old Boys last week and it doesn’t get any easier with undefeated competition leaders Teachers West at Mike Carney Toyota Park.

Despite being undermanned with three Queensland Country players away last week, co- coach Ben Collings said Brothers were not happy with giving up a 7- 0 lead.

“We spoke about it the minute after our last game finished that it’s not where we want to be at this time of year,” he said.

Brothers have yet to beat Teachers this year.

North Ward will be looking to build on their recent winning form when they meet the Burdekin at 4.30pm at the Townsville Sports Reserve, while Ross River will meet Western Suburbs at 5.30pm at Mike Carney Toyota Park.
