Mine fight hotting up

PROTESTERS stepped up action against coal miner Adani yesterday, picketing its Brisbane headquarters. Led by traditional owners from the Galilee Basin and Abbot Point, about 100 marched through the city as part of moves to get Adani’s $ 7.5 billion Carmichael coal mine stopped. About 2000 have signed a pledge to stop the mine with key issues traditional lands, native species and Abbot Point coal port expansion.
