Drug lord manhunt
MEXICAN authorities have distributed 100,000 photos of drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to highway toll booths since his weekend escape from a maximumsecurity prison. The government says 10,000 federal police agents are on high alert across Mexico and authorities have established 101 checkpoints on highways. Hospitals, hotels and funeral homes are also being checked. About 50 canine teams are searching passenger and cargo vehicles. Airports are on alert, reviewing passengers on private planes. Guzman escaped late Saturday through an elaborate tunnel from his prison cell.
