Back in sad­dle at prop­erty in­sti­tute

PROP­ERTY val­uer Jen­nifer- lee Sin­clair has been re- elected chair­woman of the Aus­tralian Prop­erty In­sti­tute’s Townsville Dis­cus­sion Group for a sec­ond term.

The in­sti­tute rep­re­sents 8600 prop­erty pro­fes­sion­als na­tion­ally, in­clud­ing valuers, pro­ject man­agers, prop­erty an­a­lysts and fund man­agers, prop­erty lawyers and prop­erty re­searchers.

Ms Sin­clair said the in­sti­tute’s role was to main­tain the high­est stan­dards of pro­fes­sional prac­tice, ed­u­ca­tion, ethics and pro­fes­sional con­duct, and the dis­cus­sion groups pro­vided ed­u­ca­tional op­por­tu­ni­ties with a fo­cus on lo­cal is­sues.

She said the new Townsville com­mit­tee would host a se­ries of events over the next 12 months.

“The events pro­vide a valu­able fo­rum for valuers and other prop­erty pro­fes­sion­als to en­gage with each other and dis­cuss and pin­point any lo­cal is­sues in the prop­erty sec­tor,” she said.

She is a val­uer and se­nior pro­ject man­ager with Opteon Prop­erty Group in Townsville.
