Adul­ter­ers hacked off

A MIL­LION Aus­tralian love rats risk be­ing ex­posed af­ter a dat­ing web­site for adul­ter­ers was hit by hack­ers. Ash­ley Madi­son claims it has 37 mil­lion mem­bers, in­clud­ing one mil­lion in Aus­tralia, and uses the tagline: “Life is short. Have an af­fair.” But hack­ers claim they have mem­bers’ credit card in­for­ma­tion, which can be used to iden­tify them. The hack­ers have al­ready pub­lished a small amount of in­for­ma­tion and claim they will keep di­vulging the se­crets of Ash­ley Madi­son’s would- be adul­ter­ers un­til the ser­vice is closed. “With over 37 mil­lion mem­bers … a sig­nif­i­cant per­cent­age of the pop­u­la­tion is about to have a very bad day, in­clud­ing many rich and pow­er­ful peo­ple,” they said.
