With the council going on about our water shortage who wants to make a bet that they reduce the amount of water we are allocated per year by at least a third or maybe a half to be able to supply all the new subdivisions and then they will also make a fortune in excess charges when you go over ur lower allowance. Re: Ewen Jones biased rant in Sat bully. You need to wake up and what your govt is doing by this ridiculous FTA. Chinese workers will be allowed by the hundreds into our country skills unchecked and take Australian jobs. So glad to see Ewen Jones supporting China rather than Australia - but what else is new. I always enjoy reading Jess Steele’s column every Saturday and her last piece was the best yet. Family really are the most important people in our lives and we should tell them so. A whole heap of brickbats to the ABC, for closing all its shops, Oz wide. These shops were always well patronized. It was easy to just walk in, and pick out what you wanted, they had a great range of DVD’s and books for all tastes, and age groups, but now the ABC execs have decided they were too unprofitable to keep open, in their present form, nobody thought of asking us, the general public, all very well to say, buy on line, but not everyone has access to computers and smart phones. Reading in the paper that the Police arrested 18 for drug offences. Police stated that these alleged druggies were to quote. ‘ Taking a foothold and that is why they acted’. Does this mean that the Police only act if you become greedy. What about low key druggies and all the other such grubs around town. If you played Tville’s biggest school footy final at 5pm instead of 3pm, Kirwan & Iggy would get another couple thousand to the game as family, friends & students of both schools could make the game after work & school.
