Min­istry shake- up on the cards

PREMIER An­nasta­cia Palaszczuk has put her min­is­ters on no­tice that she could reshuf­fle her cab­i­net less than a year af­ter tak­ing power.

Ms Palaszczuk ( right) will re­view the per­for­mance of her 14 min­is­ters by the end this year.

She promised dur­ing the Jan­uary elec­tion cam­paign to cut the num­ber of min­is­ters from 18 to 14 to save money.

But she is now re­fus­ing to rule out adding more min­is­ters or re­plac­ing those who are not per­form­ing well enough.

S e v e r a l rookie min­is­ter per f or mances would be re­viewed, in­clud­ing Nat­u­ral Re­sources and Mines Min­is­ter An­thony Lyn­ham, Energy and Wa­ter Min­is­ter Mark Bai­ley and Townsville’s Dis­abil­ity Ser­vices Min­is­ter Co­ralee O’Rourke.
