AUSTRALIAN model turned actor Mallory Jansen is a star on the rise in Hollywood.

The 26- year- old ( pictured) had barely touched down in Los Angeles with husband Simon Phan last year before she landed her first TV gig in Baby Daddy, and has been working solidly since.

“I expected to come over here and slog it out for a bit longer, but I’ve been quite blessed,” she said.

“I can’t believe a year ago I was studying acting, so it’s been really great to have a new home and call LA home; it seems surreal really.”

Her latest role is playing the conceited Queen Madalena in hit US musical comedy series Galavant.

“It’s great dressing up, and being able to be a queen every day is pretty fun,” she said.
