TOWNSVILLE speed­way star Brody Eves will take on the world’s best this week when he com­petes at the Youth World Cup in France.

The 14- year- old rac­ing prodigy ap­pears des­tined for a big fu­ture in the high- oc-

tane motorsport and his trip to Europe is the latest chap­ter of an al­ready im­pres­sive ca­reer on two wheels.

Brody has al­ready won two Aus­tralian un­der- 16 cham­pi­onships – the first of which when he was 12 – and he is widely re­garded as one of the hottest young prospects in the in­ter­na­tional speed­way scene.

Af­ter mak­ing the trip to France – with his rac­ing equip­ment and fam­ily in tow – Brody is hop­ing to do his fam­ily run Eves Rac­ing Team proud.

He is also ready to strengthen his name in the hugely pop­u­lar Euro­pean speed­way scene.

“I am about to leave on a trip that I have only dreamt about since I started rac­ing speed­way,” he said.

“I’m ex­cited to com­pete against the best riders from around the world and while I am over in Europe I will try to get some ex­po­sure with clubs by com­pet­ing in as many meet­ings as pos­si­ble.”

Brody thanked all of his spon­sors for their in­valu­able sup­port of his motorsport dream.

He said he in­tended to do them all proud while com­pet­ing in the 250cc di­vi­sion at the pres­ti­gious ju­nior tour­na­ment.
