Alcohol ad warning call
AUSTRALIAN doctors want a review of alcohol advertising during televised sporting matches, warning it can harm children.
The Royal Australasian College of Physicians has slammed the Australian Communications and Media Authority ( ACMA), for allowing more than 1500 alcohol ads to be broadcast in child- friendly timeslots across the AFL season.
RACP president Dr Catherine Yelland said the “loophole” that allowed it to happen needed to be closed.
