Rinehart feud to escalate

-

CHOCOLATE mousse cake, chocolate crackles, ckles, a DIY Violet Crumble and a crème easter egg:gg: this has to be Australia’s richest dessert.

Top Melbourne restaurant Mr Miyagi yagi is launching the chocolate- obsessed dish ( pictured) ured) in the lead- up to Easter, and it takes about bout three days to make.

“I don’t think there’s another dessert that t I know of that’s as complex or as rich as this,”” Mr Miyagi co- owner Kristian Klein said.

He said preparation for the $ 20 dish, dubbed Mr M’s Crème Egg, started three days prior to actually serving it.

“We coat the Kit Kat- inspired parfait with three different grades of chocolate. We have never had a more time- consuming dessert on the menu,” he said.

The inspiration for the epic came from a simple crème egg.

“From that, we then went to the piece that looks like a Twix, which is actually a house- made honeycomb,” Mr Klein said.

“We’ve then got the red rectangular slice, e, a parfait, that’s pretty much our version of f a Kit Kat. Probably the best part of it is the white hite chocolate and brownie ice cream.”

But this is not the sort of dessert you’d d scoff down solo.

“It’s so rich I don’t know many peoplele who could polish it off themselves. It’s designed ned to share,” the restaurant boss said.

It even takes serious culinary skills to put ut it on the plate. “We’ve spent a considerable amount ount of time teaching our chefs how to plate it,” Mr r Klein said. “Just putting it all together is half thee challenge. It takes a bloody long time to make.”

Mr M’s crème egg will be on the menu for r about a month. dessert BIANCA Rinehart has been given the go- ahead to sue her mining magnate mother over her handling of the family’s multi- billion- dollar trust. Gina Rinehart’s eldest daughter, who was granted control of the trust in 2015 after a lengthy legal battle, sought judicial advice from the NSW Supreme Court about whether she could take action regarding the alleged underpayment of dividends. In a judgment released yesterday, Justice Nigel Rein said Ms Rinehart would be justified in starting the proceedings. The trust is thought to be worth more than $ 4 billion.
