Toddler shot older brother

A TODDLER in the US has shot dead his older brother with their mother’s handgun. The nine- year- old was shot in the head. The mother, Wendy Lavarnia, 28, told police she had put her loaded gun on a bed within reach of her two- yearold while she turned to get a holster. That’s when the twoyear- old grabbed the gun and shot his brother, who was playing video games a few feet away, police in Phoenix said. His mother said she had previously allowed the toddler to “practice pulling the trigger of this gun” when it wasn’t loaded. She was jailed on suspicion of four counts of child abuse.
