Risky driver ‘ danger to kids’

AFTER driving so erratically his tyre deflated, a man told police he was angry his kids in the back seat were fighting over a water bottle.

Magistrate Peter Smid disqualified Joshua Andrew Dickson, 28, from driving for a month and fined him $ 400 yesterday, saying he was a danger to his children’s lives. The Kelso man pled guilty in Townsville Magistrates Court to driving without due care and attention.

Prosecutor Subarna Raut said police were patrolling Riverway Drive in Rasmussen on March 25 when they saw a green sedan speed around blind corners and drive “recklessly” into a boat ramp carpark, where other people were standing around.
