Our minister missing in action

-

WHO is Coralee O’Rourke kidding when she says that the people of Mundingburra want someone who will stand up for them ( Townsville Bulletin 9/ 5/ 17)?.

Well it’s not her. As the Minister assisting the Premier on North Queensland she has been a ghost and is never seen out and about working for the local community.

People are sick of this Labor government and their lack of action on the crime wave sweeping Townsville. And when it comes to getting a reliable water supply for the city, Coralee talks about a hydro scheme which doesn’t deliver a drop of water and does nothing to secure water for our city.

How out of touch can she be? We have the Minister for North Queensland and yet we don’t even have a plan as to what the Labor State Government wants to do for us in the North.

As for her scare campaign, Labor has slashed the infrastructure budget and has cut funds to police stations. So if she is so intent on standing up around the Cabinet table why isn’t she doing so right now when Townsville needs infrastructure and needs a strong police presence?

What we have in Townsville is a missing in action minister, who has achieved almost nothing for the North. Oh, I got it wrong! She did have a billboard moved even though it took six months to do it. BRENT TAYLOR,

Townsville.
