O’Toole dances to Greens’ tune, not her electorate

-

CATHY O’Toole is quick to tell us Labor is the only party interested in providing jobs in regional Queensland.

Bill Shorten came up here with his “Bus of Hypocrisy” also spouting about all these new jobs Labor would create.

So what happened when it came to putting in a bit of effort and sitting an extra day in Parliament to pass the changes to the Native Title Act that are holding up the Carmichael Mine?

Labor said “no” and couldn’t get out the door quick enough. As a result the mine is held up yet again.

Labor has held up these changes for three months despite all stakeholders, including the peak Aboriginal bodies, calling for changes to be passed.

The reality is Labor, both federal and state, despite all their bluster are aligned to the Greens socialist ideological polices because they cannot govern without the Greens’ preference votes. They dance to the Greens’ socialist tunes despite the Greens having less than 10 per cent of the vote. Meanwhile regional Queensland suffers.

It’s high time Cathy O’Toole woke up to the fact she is in Parliament by the margin of 37 votes and it was not Green preferences that got her there but, would you believe, One Nation preferences. She has failed to stand up for her electorate but actively supports Labor’s city Greens’ policies.

As a result Townsville and its regions have to wait another month plus with the hope that Labor will see fit to pass the bill and, of course, hope like hell that Adani will not just give it all up as a bad joke and walk away. Shame, Labor, shame. G. MORSHEAD,

Idalia.
