DISNEY DREAMS COME TRUE

-

has announced 21 upcoming live- action remakes and sevenyear- old Cliffo just wet his pants!

There’s something magical about the wonderful world of Disney.

From the beginning of a Disney flick when the shooting star flies over the top of the castle we’re immediately transported to a magical, happy and more innocent place. The very thought of some of the classics from “back in my day” getting a new live- action life is enough to have me shouting supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. In no particular order here are a few of the reworkings I’m most excited about:

The world’s fave nanny is set to return to our screens in a sequel to the 1964 classic starring the amazing Emily Blunt as MP.

I don’t know how they’ll do it, but the cast is awesome with Donald Glover, James Earl Jones and Seth Rogen all signed on.

Guy Ritchie, the genius behind Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, has signed on to make this film. Cue a quirky and mysterious take on Aladdin for this one.

Again another super director, Tim Burton, has signed on for this project. Dumbo will never be darker.

I’ve added this one to the list on my wife’s behalf. She obsessed.

It certainly is an impressive list. And with Disney now the owner of Lucas Films ( the company behind Star Wars) there’s no doubt business is looking dandy for the next decade at least. Mickey should be one happy mouse.
