AUSTRALIA’S Wallabies will tap into two iconic sporting organisations – the NSW State of Origin side and Melbourne Storm – in their unlikely bid to finally overpower the almighty All Blacks.

And the two rugby league teams may just pinch a few ideas from the Wallabies.

The Bulletin can reveal that the Wallabies and NSW Blues will meet up next Thursday at Leichhardt Oval.

NSW will train at 9am with the Wallabies to be in action from 11am.

It is expected the Wallabies will arrive early to watch NSW run through their set pieces with the Blues to hang around and view the Wallabies session.

And News Corp Australia can also reveal that Wallabies coach Michael Cheika, backs coach Stephen Larkham and skills coach Mick Byrne spent a large portion of yesterday with Storm coach Craig Bellamy.

The contingent met at Storm headquarters where Bellamy and Cheika spoke extensively about football.

There are also two former Storm players in the Wallabies squad – Israel Folau and Marika Koroibete.

Cheika, Bellamy and Laurie Daley ( NSW) will share a few secrets. Daley is friends with Cheika.

“We are training on the same day as the Wallabies on Leichhardt Oval,” Daley said.

“They will be training straight after us.

“I know ‘ Cheik’. I am sure we will have a chat. We might hang around and watch them train if we can.

“All coaches are searching for ideas.”

Cheika, a passionate South Sydney Rabbitohs fan, arranged an opposed session for his side against the Sydney Roosters last year.

Cheika and Roosters coach Trent Robinson are mates.

The Wallabies have upcoming Test matches against Fiji, Scotland, Italy and then the All Blacks on August 19.

Australia haven’t beaten the All Blacks in the Bledisloe Cup since 2002.

Meanwhile, Daley briefly reflected on game one before quickly looking ahead to the second match in Sydney.

“It was a good performance but there are still two to go,” Daley said. “It’s a massive game for us here in Sydney.”
