CBD sees decline in itinerants

-

A TOWNSVILLE dance studio is giving its next performance a touch of movie magic, using a cinema as their stage.

Latin Vibrations owner Jodie Coey- Braddon said the performance marked the end of the studio’s latest round of dance courses.

“We do a performance at the end of each dance term so all the students get the opportunity to bring their hard work in front of an audience,” she said.

“Our instructors had worked with a movie theme and I thought where better to have it than at a cinema?” The concert will include styles such as belly dance, samba, jazz, cabaret, dance hall and Bollywood.

Audience members are encouraged to dress as their favourite movie character, with a prize for the best costume.

At The Movies will be held at the Townsville Central Event Cinemas on June 24, with doors opening at 4pm.

Tickets from latinvibrations. com. au for $ 15 an adult and $ 7 for 12 and under, or on the door for $ 20 and $ 10.
