HEFTY PRICE FOR DREAM BEACH HOUSE

- LYDIA KELLNER

TOWNSVILLE’S most exclusive beachside mansion has sold for a cool $ 1.4 million.

It is the highest residential sale price recorded for the suburb of Toomulla in 15 years, despite the property selling for $ 17,000 less than when last purchased in 2014, according to Core Logic.

Listing agent Allison Gough said the property attracted much interest during its 58 days on the market.

The stunning multi- level home eventually sold to a private out- of- town buyer who acquired the property as a holiday home.

“The buyer was predominantly looking to purchase a home at Yarrawonga, but then came across this property and found it to be really good value for money,” Ms Gough said.

Situated in the peaceful seaside suburb, the home is perched in an elevated position with absolute ocean frontage affording 200- degree views.

The home is about 740sq m under roof and spans three levels with four bedrooms and three bathrooms and decks on all levels overlooking the sea. It has a saltwater pool and spa. “We had more than 30 people through this home which is a lot for this calibre of property and location,” Ms Gough said.
