Hack­ett home af­ter re­hab stint

OLYMPIC great Grant Hack­ett is sober and back home to see his chil­dren and re­vi­talise busi­ness in­ter­ests af­ter a stint in a US re­hab clinic.

The for­mer world swim­ming cham­pion flew into Bris­bane air­port yes­ter­day morn­ing from Los An­ge­les.

A fam­ily friend said Hack­ett was feel­ing the best he had in three years, hav­ing ad­dressed de­pres­sion and anx­i­ety is­sues, and was ea­ger to see his two young chil­dren.

Hack­ett spent the ma­jor­ity of his time in Ari­zona with the fam­ily of Olympic hero Michael Phelps. He also spent a month in a Mal­ibu re­hab clinic.
