Raiders let Clydsdale walk free

-

CANBERRA have released Adam Clydsdale to join Cronulla for the remainder of 2017.

The Raiders formally parted ways with Clydsdale yesterday afternoon, opening the door for him to link with the Sharks as cover with Jayden Brailey and James Segeyaro both injured.

Brailey will miss between six and eight weeks after breaking his jaw in last Sunday’s loss to Manly.

With Segeyaro not expected back from a broken arm until round 19, the rookie Sharks’ injury has come at the worst possible time for the defending premiers.

Cronulla have also released Daniel Mortimer ( Leigh) and Manaia Cherrington ( Warriors) this season, leaving them in a hole in the hooker position.

Fa’amanu Brown has been named to play hooker against the Roosters today, but Clydsdale will give the Sharks plenty of depth around the ruck for the rest of the season.
