Two wheels turn heads

EX­TREME bi­cy­cle stunt­man Bo­rys Za­grocki showed there was a place for pedal power at a high- oc­tane Su­per­cars event.

The pro­fes­sional tri­als bi­cy­cle rider, per­former and in­struc­tor made his first ap­pear­ance at the Wat­pac Townsville 400 over the three days, giv­ing demon­stra­tions as part of the event’s off- track en­ter­tain­ment.

Mr Za­grocki at­tracted plenty of vis­i­tors to his shows that were staged track­side and would love to come back for next year’s event.

“I hope to re­turn. I’m re­ally en­joy­ing it so hope­fully Townsville back me up on it.

“It’s been a good mix in the crowd, with kids and plenty of applause and even po­lice­men cheer­ing me on.”

Mr Za­grocki said per­form­ing at a Su­per­cars events was a great ex­pe­ri­ence.

“I’m a fan my­self but not as huge a fan as some of the other peo­ple here,” he said. “I have a lot of ap­pre­ci­a­tion for how much it takes to be a pro­fes­sional driver and all of the team­work that’s in­volved in it.”

Mr Za­grocki, who is orig­i­nally from Poland has been rid­ing for over 15 years, start­ing in Europe and de­vel­op­ing his skills through­out Asia and Aus­tralia.
