Two projects that will stem the outflow of people

-

NORTH Queensland, we can stop the exodus south.

State LNP Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls on a recent visit to Townsville was buttonholed by a friend of mine and asked will he deliver cheap power and water security for North Queensland?

My friend asked by way of a coalfired baseload power station and the raising of the Burdekin Dam Stage 2 ( 14m) as people are moving south to seek employment and better livelihoods.

Mr Nicholls replied ‘ I can’t stop people moving to Brisbane’. This wannabe Premier just doesn’t get it – by providing the basic essentials – energy and water at reliable and affordable prices means we here in the North of the State will do the rest.

We will focus on productivity and producing more export dollars not castles on the capital’s river banks to entertain the masses. He thinks like a city centric and is city boy it seems when we need more than ever, a leader that represents all of Queensland and who can see by doing so makes all our livelihoods better.

We are constantly drip fed the line by these anti north of Noosa Queenslanders – Trad, Bailey and Palaszczuk ALP government – that our future is a taxpayer subsidised RET Green- Hub created by our political masters in the south.

We all know the Greens/ Labor Party will never commit to either of the above projects.

North Queenslanders only want a hand up, not a hand out. SAM COX, One Nation candidate Burdekin.
