Top dogs ready to fly out of the box at Showgrounds tonight

-

GREYHOUND racing returns to the Townsville Showgrounds tonight with an 11- race program.

Race 6 is the Burnett Family 4th Grade over the 380m. This is an open race with a few chances.

Dilston Brae ( 1) for George Tsakissiris loves the rails. He begins well and will be a big chance. He won his last in Cairns over the 410m and has each- way claims. Trisha Nolan ( 5) for Rhonda Essery is a big show after her win last week from the same box.

Universal One ( 4) for Kerry Griffin got away for a good win last week from box three in 21.79s and if he jumps like he did then he will be hard to beat. Korcheck ( 2) for Nancy Maynard ran a good second last week behind Black Mass.

Race 8 is the All Rig Lifting & Engineering Best 8 over 380m. Oscar Tango ( 1) for Michael Clark has drawn well close to the rails and has each- way claims. Face Time ( 2) for Glen Olsen is also well drawn. He is better suited close to the rails.

Favourite Chips Ahoy ( 7) for Rhonda Essery is going for his fourth straight win. He has good box man- ners and will be hard to catch. Gold Total ( 5) for John Barrow is consistent with three placings from his last four starts and is a place chance.

Race 9 is the K. G. Homebrew Supplies 4/ 5th Grade over the 498m. This race will be one to watch with several chances. The favourite, Riff ( 5) for Harold Hovi, has not drawn well again, but as he showed in the final last week he can jump from any box and still lead the field.

Not A Word ( 1) for John Forster is consistent performer who this week has drawn the rails and will run another bold race. Pass The Ammo ( 2) for Robert Lound has drawn to run another good race after a good win last week from box five place chance.
