New owner Jackie’s keeping it organic

-

POPULAR organic grocery store and cafe The Organic Pantry has a new owner at the helm after the business was sold.

Jackie Webb, who used to work at the Ross River Rd cafe and produce shop, is the new owner and she has already started making small changes.

Ms Webb said she bought the business due to its food philosophy.

“I liked the concept of the business having worked previously at Paleo Cafe which introduced me to dietary needs and then it progressed from there,” she said.

“The principles of the cafe and the shop will stay the same. I’m just putting my personality on things.

“The menu has just had a revamp but the products are still all organic, gluten free and certified organic when possible.”

Ms Webb said she was putting in a huge amount of work behind the scenes to try to ensure the business is a success and the feedback from customers had been positive.

“I can’t really say I’m confident because it’s a business that runs on people so with that people can be so fickle so at the end of the day you have to work at keeping them interested,” she said.

“Being a cafe and pantry style environment under the one roof, you can come and have a coffee knowing 85 per cent of products used in the kitchen are from the shelves and if anything it’s probably more.”
