Store with added juice

- CHRISTIE ANDERSON

JUICE bar Squeeze Me has moved to a bigger and better store in Gregory St after the health food business experienced rapid growth.

The business – which specialises in juices, smoothies, acai bowls, salads and wraps – was bought by sister team Sarah and Katie Sellars two- and- a- half years ago.

But it didn’t take long before it outgrew the small Mitchell St store.

Following a four- month fitout, largely completed by the sisters themselves, the new store, which is double the size of the previous location, has opened its doors complete with a new dine- in area.

Katie said they had signed a six- year lease with Ray White Commercial for the 113sq m space.

“We had a choice to continue our lease in the same location or to have a look around and see what else is out there,” she said.

“That shop was way too small and we grew out of it really quickly, and once we took over the business and knew what we were doing we realised we would need more space.

“The end of lease was an opportunity for us to go bigger and better, and now we have a lot more foot traffic and we like our location between Castle Hill and The Strand.”

The new store is fitted out with a beachy and tropical vibe, with the aim of making customers feel like they are on holidays.

The new premises also makes it possible for the business to sell more retail items such as acai and protein ice cream.
