Psychics point to spirited victory

-

EVEN the spirit world is in raptures over this weekend’s Cowboys- Storm grand final.

The Townsville Bulletin asked two Townsville psychics to speak to their spirit guides about Sunday’s grand final.

It was a big ask, but now those who live on the “other side” have spoken. The Cowboys are going to ride roughshod over Storm.

Psychic mediums Debbie Cooney and Catherine Harms were the ones who did the asking of those we cannot see. Now all can be revealed.

On Monday, Ms Cooney said her guides – messengers from the “other side” – had given her a 24- point final score for the Cowboys. The trouble was they were not revealing the Storm’s final score.

Yesterday it was time to start putting pressure on the spirit guides. Townsville wanted answers.

When Ms Cooney dangled the crystal pendulum over her Oracle cards, the guides spoke, but they didn’t give up the information she wanted without a metaphysical tussle.

It was like they were playing with Ms Cooney, teasing her by withholding the Storm’s final score. It was only when she went off- grid and started to verbally unload on them with both barrels that they gave up the Storm’s final score.

Ms Cooney dangled the pendulum over one card and said to her guides: “This card is for the NRL grand final. Will Storm win? Will the Cowboys win?”

When she asked if the Storm would win, the pendulum swung backwards in a “no”. When she asked for the Storm’s score, there was no response.

When she asked about the POSITIVE SIGNS: Debbie Cooney ( right) and Catherine Harms have both forecast a Cowboys win against the Storm on Sunday. Cowboys, the pendulum stopped moving. “Don’t play games with me,” she said to her guides, sternly.

She asked a second time and this time the chastened guides told her the Cowboys, with their 24 points, would be the winners. Okay, so that was settled. But the guides were in a cheeky mood and would not reveal the Storm’s final score.

Ms Cooney shuffled the pack and selected another Oracle card. Things were getting serious.

She dangled the pendulum over the card, telling the guides in a no- nonsense tone: “This is the card for the Storm. How are we going to work out the final score for these guys? Can you give me the score?”

Nothing happened. You could have cut the air with a knife. Time stood still in the small room lit by the glow of a salt lamp. And then the spirit guides answered. Twelve points for the Storm.

The final score would be 24- 12 to the Cowboys.

“I feel very secure that the Cowboys will win. The guides told me that the Cowboys want to win and that they have a strong sense of purpose,” Ms Cooney said.

Catherine Harms’ “‘ discussion” with her own guides was almost identical to Ms Cooney’s.

She was in the kitchen making her breakfast yesterday morning when her guides appeared dressed in Cowboys colours. They were wearing Cowboys beanies and waving the club’s little flags.

“They told me this will be a superb win for the Cowboys
