TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR L OGAN

THE community continues to mourn four- year- old Logan Andersen, who died tragically on Thursday morning after being hit by a vehicle in the Kingpin bowling alley carpark at Thuringowa Central.

Flowers have been laid at the scene of the accident and heartfelt messages of condolence are pouring in through social media to the family of the little boy.

Kingpin Australia CEO Nicole Noye has spoken out about the accident, expressing deep sadness and condolence­s to Logan’s family.

“Townsville is such a good community we are really proud to be part of and our thoughts are with all of those affected by the accident,” she said.

“We are thinking of the family and team at the bowling alley affected as well.”

Ms Noye said safety was important to their business and Kingpin was working closely with the police regarding the incident.

“Townsville is such a tight community and we want to do the right thing by the family and the community who mean a lot to us,” she said.

Tributes are flowing on social media, with those who knew Logan rememberin­g him as a “caring and loving boy with such a friendly little soul”.

Acting Sergeant Gemma Williamson from the Forensic Crash Unit said investigat­ions were still under way, and were expected to take a little while as they continue to interview witnesses and family.
