Weinstein woes spiral

-

THE avalanche of assault accusations against Harvey Weinstein grew yesterday as more women made explosive charges against him.

The latest allegations portray Weinstein as a ruthless sexual predator who, on at least one occasion, sought to engage an actress in a threesome with another woman.

“He asked us to kiss and she began some sort of advan- ces upon his direction,” said actor and model Cara Delevingne.

When Delevingne got up to hurriedly leave, she said “he walked me to the door and stood in front of it and tried to kiss me on the lips”.

The bluntest accusation came from Lea Seydoux, an award- winning French film star, who wrote a first- person account of her run- ins with Weinstein and others as the industry turned a blind eye.

“That’s the most disgusting thing. Everyone knew what Harvey was up to and no one did anything,” she wrote in the Guardian.

“He had a lecherous look. He was using his power to get sex. He’s big and fat, so I had to be forceful to resist him.

“I left his room thoroughly disgusted.”

Film figures warned such behaviour had gone virtually unchecked. Actor and director Rob Schneider said the Weinstein revelations were just “the tip of the iceberg” .

“There’s not one actress who doesn’t have a story,” he said, adding he was sexually harassed by a male director when he was younger.

Police reportedly responded yesterday to a call for help at Weinstein’s home his daughter, Remy.

Police sources said later a 911 caller had said a person at the address was feeling suicidal but found no problem.

Weinstein said earlier the sexual abuse allegations had left him devastated.

His wife, Georgina Chapman, 41, said she was leaving him after news of the allegations broke. from
