A CHIP OFF BLOCK

-

Golf legend Greg Norman gave his fans a blast from the past while visiting Australia to open an exclusive golf course in Victoria. Norman, who grew up in Townsville, shared a happy snap from his childhood on his social media. “# throwbackthursday in # usa. Now in # australia so a trip down memory lane # townsville days,” he wrote. OFF- SEASON is providing plenty of fun for North Queensland Cowboys players. Lachlan Coote tied the knot with partner Laura Ottolino ( pictured) on Thursday. The pair have a son, Bailey, 3. Meanwhile some of his teammates are enjoying overseas holidays as they unwind from an intense season of football. Shane Wright is exploring Hawaii, while Ethan Lowe has been kicking back in Bali and Kyle Feldt has embraced his inner child at Tokyo Disneyland with girlfriend Deanna Finn ( below). Patrick Kaufusi has already left Townsville for Victoria, after being signed to the Melbourne Storm. TYCOON Chris Morris has celebrated his 70th birthday in Townsville, holding an exclusive celebration at The Ville ResortCasino. Mr Morris ( pictured fourth from left with his family) is the owner of the Townsville casino and chose to have his party on Thursday night in the venue’s ballroom. That wasn’t the end of the celebrations though, with Mr Morris and members of his entourage jumping on his superyacht The Flying Fish yesterday to sail to Orpheus Island for the weekend. Orpheus Island is part of Mr Morris’ Colonial Leisure Group’s North Queensland tourism portfolio.
