Vote for real change

-

“IS THE state of Queensland in a better place now than two and a half years ago,” I hear the radio announcer ask us?

Just look at your power bill for the answer.

I hear Tim Nicholls blaming Labor for the position we are all in regarding Queenslanders’ power costs. He isn’t wrong but when the LNP were in the position to do something about it, they did nothing, so how can we believe him now?

Peter Beattie and Labor set the future for us all when they won government and tripled the dividends they take from our power industry and in doing so tripled all Queenslanders’ pain when it comes to cost of living and also for our businesses.

If it wasn’t so serious I would probably die laughing when I hear our Premier saying she will cut $ 50 from our power bill – guaranteed for the next two years. What a joke!

These are the people causing our pain and none of them are willing to balance the books and stop milking our power industry for their ineptness.

We have an election looming and it is our chance to actually do something about it.

Is everyone going to vote the same way they have up to now? Is your idea of change voting for a different major party?

Come on, this has been happening forever.

Let’s have the courage to vote for real change.

Take advantage of our brilliant voting system and put a real alternative first on your voting paper. You won’t waste your vote, I promise you.

It is essential we look at the minor parties and put them ahead on our ballot paper and use our preferences as your preferences will continue to work for you until someone wins the seat.

If you want the LNP to be ahead of Labor then simply do this on your ballot paper but not as a 1 and 2 vote. Put them last on your paper.

Please, on November 25, pull out your power bill and have a good look at it before going to vote and put the major parties last when you vote. DAVID McLINTOCK,

Goovigen.
