Poor Timmy still dreams of miracle by St Anthony
TIM Blair’s weekly column ( TB, 27/ 11) had me shaking my head in disbelief.
Tim, the extreme right wing fanatic has claims to fame, such as being the youngest editor of the Truth in Melbourne, a grubby little rag which expired with the advent of online porn.
Tim also proved George W. Bush was indeed photographed holding a real turkey sandwich, not a plastic one. True.
Tim is a devoted disciple of St Anthony of Abbott ( known to his friend as Tony) and is still in mourning over the not unexpected demise of the incompetent saint when his peers voted him out his position as Prime Minister over two years ago.
He is joined in this misery by fellow disciples: Peta Credlin and Andrew Bolt and they have formed a triumvirate in their pathological hatred of Malcolm Turnbull ( nicknamed Judas) for his role in getting rid of the hapless Tony.
Trouble is, such single- minded loathing can sometimes turn the mind and it seems such has occurred to Tim.
Proving he is not a student of history, he now proposes that Turnbull should be overthrown and Tony reinstated ( remember the Rudd- Gillard- Rudd fiasco) so he can lead the Coalition to a glorious defeat and St Anthony will be double martyred.
He actually wants to guarantee Billy the Blade the Prime Ministership. Or could it be that Timmy is really an extreme right wing mole, only now revealing his crimson turncoat? But I will continue to read him. His unintended levity in this bleak Queensland political climate eases the depression. JEFF WILLIAMS, Condon.
