PRICEY’S BACK IN BREKKIE TOP SPOT
A FOURTEEN- year- old boy was allegedly caught in the act of a burglary as the quick- footed victim made a citizen’s arrest.
About 11.30pm on Monday the occupants of a unit in Aitkenvale heard several noises from their garage. One of the occupants went to investigate the noise and witnessed several youths in his garage.
The youths began to run but one was apprehended by the unit’s occupant and detained until police arrived.
The Cranbrook boy was arrested and charged with several offences and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act. A FORMER Olympian has fronted court on a second highrange drink- driving charge.

Yesterday she pleaded guilty in the Cairns Magistrates Court to driving while more than five times the limit.
The 45- year- old recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.286.
Shadbolt had been drinking wine at a work Melbourne Cup function. She was placed on 12 months probation and disqualified from driving for 12 months. On June 14, 2015, she was pulled over with a blood alcohol reading of 0.314. The 4TOFM personality, affectionately known as Pricey, has taken out the top breakfast spot in the Xtra Insights 2017 audience survey with 641,000 listeners – 23.1 per cent of the city’s market – up by 2 per cent.
Last year HOTFM, now known as HIT 103.1, beat him by 0.9 per cent.

In the overall rankings, 4TOFM claimed the top spot in Townsville with 22.9 per cent of listeners, followed by HIT 103.1, with 21.8 per cent.
Both stations are owned by Southern Cross Austereo ( SCA).
SCA general manager for Townsville Rob Aumend said both stations “keep going from strength to strength”.
“For the third year in a row our stations have finished number one and two by a very significant margin,” he said.
Star 106.3 claimed third place with 12.5 per cent of the audience, a 3.8 per cent improvement on last year’s results after a breakfast team shake- up.
