JUST LIKE NAUGHTY SCHOOLCHILDREN, THEY SHOULD BE IGNORED UNTIL THEY AGREE TO BEHAVE CIVILLY. IF THERE ARE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES THAT NEED DISCUSSING, DO IT LIKE ADULTS TAX THESE ACTIVISTS
ATTACKS on a Far North farming family by the Wilderness Society should finally sound the death knell of green terrorists hiding behind the cloak of tax- free charity status.
The Jonsson family have been wrongfully accused of illegal tree clearing and had “koala killer” spraypainted on their gate – even though no koalas exist on the property.
But this is just the latest in a long history of green terrorism perpetrated all over the North, and if gutless politicians don’t act, expect something far more serious to happen.
Groups such as the Wilderness Society, Sea Shepherd and the World Wildlife Fund exist only because of donations and tax breaks, but they aren’t using this financial aid just to save animals, they use it to sometimes quite forcefully push an ideology.
It’s an ideology propped up by lies, hyperbole and complicit media ( hint: the ABC which aired the false claims against the Jonssons) and politicians.
One mention of controlling crocodiles so humans don’t get torn apart sets off a mouth- frothing reaction from enviro- warriors that would put a rabid dog to shame.
Suggesting that mines are good for the economy and for people to feed their families sparks these animals to use human waste as weapons, as we have seen with anti- Adani protesters.
They violently attack whaling boats undertaking lawful hunts, they ambush press conferences and start shouting like spoiled kids, they sabotage machinery and threaten and wish death upon people.
And just like naughty schoolchildren, they should be ignored until they agree to behave civilly. If there are environmental issues that need discussing, do it like adults and keep your poo to yourself.
There’s a great movie called Monkeys with Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis about a nature- loving crazy intentionally releasing a virus in order to kill off humans and allow animals to reclaim the Earth.
Sounds far- fetched, right? But the actions and words of some activists echo a real- life anti- human philosophy they push with extremism. Even the Sea Shepherd logo features a skull- and- crossbones motif.
Personally, I’ve had people tell me via email they hope I get eaten by a croc, and when I asked an animal liberationist if she would save a dog or a baby from a burning house, she said: “How well do I know the baby?”
Why don’t journalists at press conferences tell activists to get lost and let the adults discuss the real news? Instead, journalists take notes, while photographers scramble to get footage ... all which gives oxygen to the green “wrongologists” and emboldens others to do the same.
The most anti- development and anti- human- prosperity party in Australia – The Greens – won less than 10 per cent of the vote in the last Queensland election, and mostly in Brisbane. That means all the people throwing poo and urine and disrupting press conferences are acting for an extreme minority.
Therefore, why should our political class care, and why should you care by giving them your hardearned wages in donations?
Appeasement is not an option because no matter how many national parks we open, how many developments are knocked back, or how many times governments believe outrageous lies about overfishing, reef health and unchecked tree clearing, they will never stop.
Politicians and journalists should be applying the harshest scepticism to any and every green claim, and not bow to the threats and bile that are the hallmarks of modern activism.
Aboriginal leader Warren Mundine recently blamed green activists for hijacking an agreement between native title holders and Adani.
He was met with some of the most disgracefully racist diatribe you can imagine, including being called a “token Aborigine”.
Despite claims these activists have good intentions, there is evil behind them and evil can only exist while good people do nothing.
At the moment, we have good people in positions to snuff out this nasty and unacceptable activism who are too scared to stand up to them.
Governments should immediately review environmental groups’ taxfree status, and instead of funding green terrorists who target families, people should donate to charities such as St Vincent de Paul or the Salvation Army that help families.
