Modern take on a classic design

A BOUTIQUE developmen­t consisting of 12 homes inside a gated community will be built at Belgian Gardens as confidence continues to grow in Townsville’s property market.

Land has been cleared at Potts St ready for the homes to be built with the community to have a modern Queensland­er feel.

The homes will be catered towards mid to high- range buyers and feature premium finishes grounds.

About Town Real Estate agent Anthony Dare said the Castle Glen developmen­t would offer buyers something different from the typical homes that have dominated new estates in Townsville.

“It’s a modern take on the Queensland­er in a gated community,” he said.

“There are only 12 residences and with the landscapin­g the species are all in keeping with architectu­re and the area and they are drought tolerant as well as giving a lush look.

“This is going to be for families and in particular second or third home buyers. in lush, landscaped

The land has been cleared ready for developmen­t and interested buyers are circling, with interest coming from as far afield as Melbourne.

Four houses and two du- plexes are available for sale in stage one.

Constructi­on will start once four homes have been bought off the plan which is expected to occur in the next few months.

Prospectiv­e buyers will be able to take virtual walkthroug­hs of the yet- to- be- built homes. Mr Dare said now was the perfect time for the developmen­t to go ahead as confidence starts to return to Townsville.

While buyers won’t be able to change the look of the outside of the homes to ensure it is in keeping with the estate, things like internal colours will be able to be customised.

“It shows there is faith in Townsville to put quality into there instead of doing mass produced homes because these have been architectu­rally designed internally and externally right down to the plants,” Mr Dare said.
