MEDITATION CENTRE T O CREATE SERENE SCENE
TOWNSVILLE residents can release their inner peace at a new boutique meditation centre now open in Pimlico.
The Karmness Centre is like a gym for the mind and soul and began trading on Wednesday with a wide selection of classes, workshops and retreats.
Owner Belinda Stevenson, who has a background in psychology and hypnotherapy, said the facility would help participants de- stress and recharge.
“I have a fascination for meditation, and I saw the need for such a venue in our community,” she said. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. There’s a lot of love in it for me.
“I felt the consciousness in Townsville was not well, and could do with a boost to increase general wellbeing and happiness.”
Ms Stevenson said there were 20 different classes on offer, which would see participants gain mental and emotional benefits.
“It’s meditation with a purpose,” she said. “We cater for people with anxiety and post- traumatic stress and we also have confidence and manifestation classes to help people get what they want.”
Not just for adults, the Karmness Centre has Calm Teens and Calm Kids classes for children and teenagers.
