Anti- social vigilantes undermine good man

-

AN ARTICLE “Adani hit by vicious attacks” ( TB, 5/ 2), featured a photo of Guatum Adani and marked a rare time when Mr Adani commented on personal attacks directed at him by green groups, opponents and the media.

As someone who lives in North Queensland, I very much resent comments from one Ben Pennings as spokesman for Galilee Blockage.

He claims the Stop Adani movement represents a “clear majority” of Queenslanders.

This group come across as standover men and women who are part of a vigilante group who thumb their noses at anyone who is not part of their mob.

Their actions are anti- social and their dangerous forays into prohibited areas have caused continuing distress to train crews and workers on industrial sties. They taunt police and ordinary people who don’t share their views. Just who are they?

These left wing green groups now exert undue influence in mainstream politics to the point where good government decision making is impaired by their power and influence.

What other reason would there be to introduce a prospective federal politician to the media flanked by “Stop Adani” protesters in Victoria?

In North Queensland we have many Australians of Indian origin who have are great citizens in all walks of life.

They love this country as they love their country of origin.

They are offended to read a newspaper article which includes advice to one of their great men to “stop whingeing”. BERNICE SELLARS,

North Queensland.
