TWO men will be tried on drugs charges after being intercepted at Giru in January 2017.
Swayne Ronald Allan and Justin Jason Smith appeared via video from Cairns yesterday as they were arraigned in the Supreme Court in Townsville.
Smith pleaded not guilty to supplying dangerous drugs, unlawfully possessing methylamphetamine and MDA, unlawfully possessing more than two grams of methylamphetamine and two serious weapons possession charges.
Allan pleaded not guilty to similar drugs charges but had no weapons charges.
The men’s trial down for June 19. was set CQUNIVERSITY is recruiting “simulated patients” for a nursing program in which volunteers act as patients.
Nursing lecturer Terri Sullivan said students found it valuable and the health industry found the university’s students were really work- ready.
CQUni SimTech Cath Haug said the simulated patients were needed for nursing student sessions in Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Noosa.
