- LILLIAN ALTMAN

X FACTOR winner and Eurovision contestant Isaiah Firebrace is heading to Palm Island this weekend for centenary celebrations.

The 2016 X Factor Australia winner will perform at the island’s Deadly Didge n Dance Festival which runs from Friday to Sunday.

Firebrace ( pictured) will perform acoustic versions of covers and his own music, including new single Streets Of Gold. He will be accompanied by David Taafua ( piano) and Emilio Kormanic ( guitar).

Firebrace said he was really excited about performing at the festival.

“I think it’s going to be just a lot of fun. I think my entourage and myself are going to have a great time,” he said. “We’re just really excited to go up there.”

Last year Firebrace represented Australia at Eurovision in Kiev, Ukraine, and placed ninth in the finals with his song Don’t Come Easy.

The musician has remained busy since.

“I’ve been doing a lot travel and a lot performances nationally internationally,” he said.

He continues to write songs and is keen to take up modelling.

“I am releasing a new song next month so I’ll see how things turn out,” he said.

“If I do see some success with my songs coming up then I’ll tour afterwards.” of of and
