Two on run after crash
POLICE are looking for two people after a car with stolen numberplates crashed.
The unregistered, silver Holden Astra crashed at the intersection of Banfield Dr and Dalrymple Rd, Mount Louisa, about 7.30am yesterday.
A Townsville police spokesman said the car had been driven dangerously and hit a gutter, causing radiator fluid to spill, immobilising the car. The occupants fled the crash scene and police seized the stolen numberplates.
Officers are seeking two caucasian males of slim build in relation to the crash. multi- sport program, designed by a physiotherapist, for children aged 18 months to six years old.
“We run over the Queensland school terms. Over two terms children will learn skills for 10 different sports: athletics, basketball, golf, rugby, T- ball, soccer, AFL, tennis, hockey and cricket, as well as a variety of hand- eye/ footeye and balancing activities.”
Sara, who is working out of a new airconditioned venue in Wulguru, employs four coaches and works herself to help deliver the program.
“In the future I am hoping to bring classes over to Magnetic Island and head down to Ayr as well as more incursions in our local day care centres,” she said.
“The business is special because it gives young children the chance to get out and be active and learn a variety of sports to decide what they may or may not like in a noncompetitive environment.”
Sara has no plans to leave Townsville any time soon, but the level of crime is something that worries her.
“It makes it a bit scary to go out to the shops worrying that it might happen to you,” she said.
