St Hilliers’ briefing lays groundwork for contracts

-

INTEGRATED property and construction group St Hilliers is hosting an industry briefing for trade businesses looking to be involved in defence contracts in the Townsville region.

Andrew Baxter, the group’s local industry manager, said the briefing was open to all businesses in the region and would provide background information on potential supply chain opportunities in the local area.

“We will also hold one- onone sessions with guests that cover compliance and the best course of action to take advantage of the opportunities that these contracts present with the aim of becoming preferred contractors through St Hilliers,” Mr Baxter said.

“The breadth of skills we are looking to certify is far reaching, with skilled labour required across multiple disciplines such as demolition, concrete supply, electrical, termite protection, security, waterproofing, fencing, tiling, windows, roofing and cladding, as well as indirect services such as labour hire and training groups.

“Collaboration with the communities in which we work has been vital to our success and it is important to us that we increase the number of trainees and indigenous subcontractors on our projects.”

The free briefing session will be held at Townsville RSL Club on May 29 from 4- 6pm.
