Medical practice good fit Location key for doctors

- CHRISTIE ANDERSON christie. anderson@ news. com. au

A PAIR of doctors are the latest tenants to move into the newly refurbished Park Haven Medical Centre.

Consultant psychiatrist Dr John Rogers and forensic psychologist Dr Robert Walkley moved from the Mater Hospital Complex to a 59sq m ground floor tenancy earlier this month.

Dr Rogers said their new office was easy to find and surrounded by other medical services, making it the perfect for them.

“We liked the location, most people knew where it was and people also know of the coffee shop here,” he said. “There is also very good parking.” Dr Rogers is an adult psychiatrist and has a special interest in mental health among veterans and post traumatic stress disorder.

He is semi- retired and is currently not taking on new patients.

Dr Walkley specialises in forensic psychology and works with the Family Court, criminal courts, lawyers and government departments.

Colliers International leasing agent Shaun McLaren said little had to be done to the medical space to make it suitable.

“It was a great fit for them at Park Haven in terms of being a specialist medical use and they didn’t have to do a great deal to change the tenancy to suit their needs,” he said.

“It was just a matter of removing some storage that wasn’t required and making the offices suit them.”

Mr McLaren said the Park Haven Medical Centre in Bayswater Rd had been recently refurbished with a fresh coat of paint and new flooring.

He said he still had tenancies available for medical professionals.
