DINOS TO STAR IN THE NIGHT

- VICTORIA NUGENT

ATTRACTIONS on Flinders St East will open their doors tomorrow night for some after- hours family fun.

The Museum of Tropical Queensland and Reef HQ will both hold special night- time events.

At the Museum of Tropical Queensland, the Dinosaur Revolution: Secrets of Survival exhibition will be on display with free face painting and dinosaur- themed ac- tivities, while Reef HQ will hold torchlight tours.

Museum of Tropical Queensland exhibitions and public programs officer Claire Speedie said the night events were always fun.

“It’s a chance for people who work during the day to see the museum,” she said.

“Sometimes people come to us first and then go to Reef HQ … it’s a good time to see both. It’s the same exhibitions but there is a different feel coming in at night.”

The Dinosaurs By Night event will run from 5pm to 8.30pm, while the Reef By Night event will run from 6pm to 9pm.

Reef HQ tickets will cost $ 15 for adults, $ 10 for children and concessions, and members free.

Tickets at the Museum of Tropical Queensland for the night will be at local admission prices, which are $ 7.50 for adults, $ 4.40 for children, $ 5.50 concession, under- threes free and $ 19 for a family with two adults and up to three children.
