‘ I’D LOVE GISELLE TO HAVE A SISTER’

-

COWBOYS WAG Chantelle O’Neill has opened up about her soon- to- be- born baby and sleep issues she’s faced with her daughter.

Chantelle has responded to questions from her Instagram followers, saying she didn’t know whether she’s expecting a boy or girl but didn’t mind either way.

“Decided I only want two children so a sister would be epic because I have sisters and I know how special sisters are ... so I’d love Giselle to experience that,” she said. “But I’d also love a mini Juz.” She also spoke of 1- year- old Giselle’s sleep habits when she was a baby.

Chantelle said she struggled with sleeping routines after two of her friends lost their babies and her anxiety about the source of any problems Giselle had with sleeping. “I didn’t want to sleep no matter how tired I was, I just wanted to watch her the whole time,” she said. “I didn’t want her to be in another room, I didn’t want her to be away from me.

“I had her on my chest the whole time and she learned to sleep like that. “I loved it. I created a really bad habit.” But when extreme sleep deprivation got to her at about six months, Chantelle decided to try controlled crying.

She said it took four nights of controlled crying to get Giselle to sleep through.

“Juz was actually a million times worse than me. I was trying to be the strong one and just clock watching and he was like, ‘ Go get her, go get her,’ and wanted to give in every time.”

But thanks to some pain medication O’Neill was on, he managed to sleep through Giselle’s crying and the technique could work its magic.
