Rhonda big winner from Origin battle

DEERAGUN trainer Rhonda Essery stole the show by securing five winners at Tuesday night’s State of Origin greyhound meeting.

Rhonda’s first winner for the night was Rhonda’s Bear in meet opener, the Origin Greyhound Series Novice over 380m.

Rhonda’s Bear won the race easily by six lengths in 22.34 ahead of another Essery runner in Dyna Fable.

Essery’s second winner came in race two the Origin at Albion Park fifth grade over 380m, with Rhonda’s Yogi scoring by a half- length in 22.37.

Race four was the Meet Qld Hero Chris Walker fifth grade over 380m, with Go Freddy Go scoring by 2.25 lengths in 22.35. Race nine was the Punterslan­d Live Origin night 4/ 5th Grade over 498m with Phantom Henry scoring by three- quarters length in 29.32.

Essery’s last winner came in race 10 the Out of the box Origin Special fifth grade over 498m with Groovy Sweet scoring by one length in 29.49.

Mundingbur­ra trainer Michael Pandelakis’s Brindi Chopper got up in race seven the Go the Maroons 2/ 3rd grade over 380m to score by 3.5 lengths in 22.10.

Jensen trainer Robert Lound had a good win with the in- form Willie Holdon in race eight the Maroons vs Blues Origin, who scored by four lengths in 22.08 ( BON).

Rangewood trainer Michael Fusco picked up a win with Bashful Cloud in Race 11 the QLD vs NSW Origin fourth/ fifth grade over 380m, scoring by 2.25 lengths in 22.35.

Andrew Wooler also picked up a win with No Not Me in race five the Meet NSW Legend Terry Hill fifth grade over 380m, saluting by three- quarters of a length in 22.56.
