NEW SKINCARE BUSINESS HAS GLOBAL GOAL
A TOWNSVILLE woman is refusing to take shelter from the economic storm that is impacting many local businesses.
Instead, the budding entrepreneur has taken up the challenge to launch a new business venture.
Alanna Kennedy already has her sights firmly set on global expansion, planning to take her new skin care venture, ochre bloke, to the world by 2020.
Ms Kennedy’s ochre bloke – a range of organic men’s skincare and shaving products – will be launched on Monday.
“I acknowledge it is a tough economic climate currently, however I have completed extensive market research alongside the development of my concept, and the results indicate that my product has the opportunity for strong global — and of course local — growth,” she said.
“Stringent regulations promoting use of organic materials is likely to stir up the demand.”
Ms Kennedy said millennial consumers’ demand for independent and green skincare products would drive revenue.
“There are recent developments of fusion and ecofriendly lines that have stimulated new demand in an otherwise mature and saturated industry,” she said.
“So I have set my sights on global expansion in the next few years as my range of skincare products are designed to attract a global audience as they are simply the best for the consumer and the best for the environment on many levels including time, application ease and results, just to name a few.”
The mother- of- two has a long history in the skincare and wellbeing industry as a former regional vice president of Arbonne International.
Ms Kennedy, who is on the board of the Townsville Regional Indigenous Network, said ochre bloke’s launch was a pre- sale strategy similar to that of crowd funding.
“That will take place digitally throughout the intranet of both Ernst & Young and Investible as they have both agreed to be host companies for this campaign,” Ms Kennedy said.
“The campaign will run over 60 days with the view for ochre bloke to acquire 3000 early adoption clients that will be taken on a journey as the manufacture of the products takes place.”
