Finding a home of their own
REGIONAL Business Services has found a new home in West End after making the jump from tenant to owner.
The business purchased 39 Ingham Rd and is now operating out of the 164sq m building alongside Fusion Networks and Terry Real Estate. Regional Business Services manager Trent Yesberg said they had outgrown their previous premises and decided to buy instead of lease.
“We had been leasing a ground floor spot in the RACQ building on Ross River Rd but the 60sq m area where we were wasn’t enough for us, as we’d been growing,” he said.
“We also recognised the opportunity in the market that it was affordable and we were also able to put a couple of businesses in here with us.
“We’re not utilising probably a third of it properly yet, so there is so much opportunity for us to continue to grow. We wanted to be closer to the CBD but not in the CBD, so this was perfect for us.
“We’ve got free parking out the front, parking out the back as well, and the hospital is going in next door. We are pretty much 10 minutes away from anywhere across town.”
Regional Business Services supports small businesses through bookkeeping, administration and finance.
While much of their business is online through cloud- based software, a welcoming office was essential to maintain face- to- face relationships with clients.
Steve Whaling from E- Property Consultants negotiated the sale and said the building had also undergone a renovation.
“We received plenty of interest in 39 Ingham Rd from would- be owner- occupiers from the moment it hit the market,” he said.
“It nailed the Yesbergs’ brief in terms of size, budget and location and they were in a position to move quickly to secure it.
“They have completed an intelligent renovation which complements the existing businesses within the centre and completes another successful transformation of an old and disused commercial building, which we need to see more of.”
