Eatery to spice up Kirwan

- CHRISTIE ANDERSON property editor christie.anderson@news.com.au

KIRWAN residents will soon have a new food offering with Garlic Kitchen Curries and Kebab due to open on Friday.

The Indian takeaway is about to open at 2- 12 Hervey Range Rd.

Owner Mack Singh has signed a three- year lease for the premises which also previously housed an Indian takeaway.

Mr Singh said he had worked at the previous Indian eatery before it closed down and he still had a loyal customer base so it made sense to open in the same location.

“The layout has changed and we will do kebabs as well and we also changed the colour inside,” he said.

“We will be serving Indian curries, naan bread and kebab.

“It will be very authentic style Indian curries and Turkish kebabs. Our customers know us very well and they are like family members.”

The eatery will be open from 11am to 9pm with kebabs available for lunch and dinner and curries available only at dinner.

They will also serve seafood in- cluding fish and chips. Specials will also be available on Sunday comprising traditional Indian dishes.

Prices will be affordable to appeal to local families.

The lease was negotiated by Ben Wheeler and Shaun McLaren of Colliers International.

Mr Wheeler said it was great to see another eatery occupying the space. “Because it was a previously an Indian takeaway we were looking for an experienced operator who could come straight in and look after it,” he said.

“Because of Mack’s previous experience it worked straight away.

“It’s a good location because of it’s exposure, parking at the front door and its layout made it ideal.”
