Caravan park for sale

- CHRISTIE ANDERSON

THE Coconut Glen caravan park has been put on the market as grey nomads continue to fuel high demand for powered sites.

The park, at 908 Ingham Rd, Bohle, is for sale as a going concern via expressions of interest which will close on November 29 at 4pm.

The park is on 2.22ha of land fronting Ingham Rd and close to the Bruce Highway, with 71 powered sites, 20 unpowered sites, five self- contained villas, a reception and office area, swimming pool and two communal kitchens.

It’s on prime industrial land, making it a suitable candidate for redevelopment, with the caravan park providing holding income.

Coconut Glen is being marketed by Colliers International agents Angelo Castorina and James Pascoe.

Mr Castorina said caravan parks had become a valuable commodity in the market due to strong demand and dwindling supply.

“Caravan parks are currently appealing in the market place,” he said.

“The travelling nomad market is increasing all the time, however that supply of powered sites isn’t going up, so understandably demand in increasing.

“I would say an owner- operator would be interested in this property but you could also redevelop it because you have more than 2ha of land in the major industrial area of Townsville.”
